Don’t Be “Basic”

According to urban dictionary, the term “Basic” is used to describe someone devoid of defining characteristics that might make a person interesting, extraordinary, or simply worth devoting time or attention to. If your background check is just “basic” you could be missing key defining information regarding the behavioral characteristics on your candidates. So, what are you missing? For starters – our County Criminal Search for up to two previous counties of residence. This is important because court records are stored at the county level, meaning you could be missing criminal information on your candidates where they have previously lived. Your basic check is also missing a Motor Vehicle Report. Why does this matter? Because, our Motor Vehicle Reports obtain the driving record for your candidates which reveals driving history, traffic and safety violations, suspensions, expiration and most drug and alcohol violations. This type of report can be very defining of a person’s character even if your candidate isn’t applying for a driving position. You want to make sure that your company hires the best people who are trustworthy and who will be responsible and protect company property and customers. So – don’t be “basic” on your background checks!
